 Ex-sheriff says no one looking into Paskenta Band theft claims




Let's be clear here. The entire Pata family was removed from the tribe by not one, but two overwhelming votes of the General Council removing all privileges and rights they may have had as members of the tribe previously. That vote was a result of evidence showing they did not meet the constitutional requirements for enrollment into the tribe. The theft was discovered later when checks were found moving large amounts of money from tribal accounts into the personal bank accounts and in some cases used to purchase property, services and gold. This is just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately. Mr. Parker is ill informed to say the least.
